The Star - Card of the Day

Okay, I'm the first to admit that no matter how many hallowed tarot names tell us time and time again that it's an absolute MUST to keep a journal, I always fall by the wayside, no matter how good my intentions are to start one and actually keep it up.

This time it's different (stop laughing at the back!) because there are friends who are going to read (God help them) my musings...

So, deck in hand, shuffle, draw -

The Star!

What a lovely card. Original meanings of a bright light shining to show a way, and of health and everything that's good. It's certainly a nice image, the beautiful siren in the water, eyes closed, huddling up to her private dreams.

I'd personally have preferred her to have her eyes open, as one thought I have is that she seems to be shutting out the future, not wanting to move on from 'the now'. Perhaps she's already seen what's on the horizon, and this is what she embraces?

Either way, It's one of the best cards in the deck to draw and it's certainly given me a 'feel good' factor.

Can I relate it to my day so far (dinnertime)? Well, if you count me being over the moon about a new book that arrived this morning, yes! The rest of my day will be interesting now!

This is a perfect interp for this card!
